TrunkShow Terms of Service

Welcome to TrunkShow. By accessing or using the TrunkShow website or mobile application (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

TrunkShow is a discovery platform for independent and artisan yarn dyers. Users may:

  • Browse and follow dyers
  • Post yarn or fiber listings (Dyers)
  • Favorite posts
  • Link to third-party shops

TrunkShow does not process payments and does not sell products directly. All purchases occur on third-party websites.

2. Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Maintain the security of your login credentials
  • Accept responsibility for activity under your account

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, including for violations of these Terms or our Community Standards.

3. User Roles

Users may register as Consumers, Dyers, or both.

Dyers may create and publish posts. We do not verify, endorse, or guarantee the quality, legality, or safety of any products offered by Dyers.

4. Content and Post Expiration

Dyer posts may automatically expire after a defined period (currently 14 days). We may modify visibility rules, post limits, expiration periods, or ranking mechanisms at any time.

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove, edit, archive, or limit content
  • Enforce post limits
  • Modify discovery algorithms
  • Suspend or restrict accounts

All decisions regarding content visibility are made at our sole discretion.

5. Community Standards

All users must comply with our Community Standards:

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post unlawful, abusive, or infringing content
  • Attempt to interfere with platform security
  • Scrape, automate, or reverse engineer the Service
  • Create multiple accounts to bypass limits
  • Impersonate another individual or business

We reserve the right to block accounts, IP addresses, or other identifiers for abuse or security reasons.

7. Third-Party Links and Transactions

TrunkShow links to third-party websites (e.g., Etsy or other storefronts). We are not responsible for:

  • Product quality
  • Shipping
  • Refunds
  • Payment processing
  • Third-party privacy practices

All transactions occur outside our platform.

Prohibited Commercial Links

To comply with platform distribution requirements and to maintain a consistent experience for users, certain types of commercial links are not permitted within TrunkShow posts, profiles, or call-to-action buttons.

Users may not include links that direct users to purchase digital goods, including but not limited to:

  • knitting or crochet patterns sold as digital downloads
  • e-books or digital publications
  • downloadable guides or instructional materials
  • printable patterns or PDFs
  • any other product delivered primarily as a digital file or download

Examples of prohibited links include purchase pages on marketplaces or websites where the primary item being sold is a digital download.

Links to physical goods, such as yarn, tools, kits, merchandise, or other tangible products that require shipping, are permitted.

TrunkShow reserves the right to remove or disable any links that violate this policy and may suspend or restrict accounts that repeatedly post prohibited commercial links.

8. No Warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Merchantability
  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Concepts Dreams & Projects LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Modifications

We may modify or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles.
