Our Purpose
TrunkShow exists to highlight and support independent yarn dyers and the fiber arts community.
This platform is built for:
- Indie and artisan makers
- Fiber artists
- Yarn lovers
- Respectful discovery
We want TrunkShow to feel welcoming, creative, and safe.
These standards explain what is expected of everyone using the platform.
Core Principles
We expect all users to:
- Treat others with respect.
- Share authentic work.
- Avoid harassment or hostility.
- Use the platform for its intended purpose.
- Help maintain a supportive indie fiber arts space.
If you wouldn’t say it in a yarn shop or fiber festival, don’t post it here.
What Belongs on TrunkShow

Appropriate content includes:

If you are unsure whether your content fits, ask yourself:
Is this clearly related to indie yarn dyeing or fiber arts?
If not, it likely does not belong here.

Digital Product Links
To comply with app platform rules, posts and call-to-action buttons may not link to the sale of digital downloads.
This includes items such as:
- knitting or crochet patterns sold as PDFs
- e-books
- downloadable guides or files
- printable patterns
Links to physical products, such as yarn, tools, kits, or merchandise that ship to customers, are allowed.
Posts that include links to digital download products may be removed.
Authenticity Matters
TrunkShow is designed to support independent dyers.
We expect Dyers to:
- Post their own work.
- Use images they own or have permission to use.
- Link only to legitimate shop pages they control.
- Represent their work honestly.
Consumers should follow and favorite based on genuine interest, not manipulation.
Post Limits & Fair Visibility
TrunkShow currently limits the number of active posts per Dyer to maintain fairness during early growth.
Circumventing limits by creating duplicate accounts or manipulating expiration is a violation of these standards.
Profiles & Public Information
Dyer profiles are public.
Display names, bios, shop URLs, and posts are visible to other users.
Keep your profile accurate and professional.
Enforcement
If content or behavior violates these standards, we may:
- Remove posts
- Issue warnings
- Suspend accounts
- Permanently terminate accounts
We may act without prior notice in cases of severe abuse.
Our goal is not punishment — it is protecting the integrity of the community.
